Hello and welcome to the April edition of Warwickshire Means Business.

This month we bring the positive news that the economy of Coventry and Warwickshire continues to exceed national trends. We also celebrate the great achievement of Coventry City Football Club winning the Championship title and securing promotion to the Premier League. The club’s triumph far transcends the world of sport - the huge lift in profile and visitor numbers that it will mean for our region will bring a major economic boost.

 

We look ahead to next month’s Sustainable Construction Future Skills Round Table, organised by our excellent team at Warwickshire Skills Hub. It promises to a fascinating and valuable event, the feedback from which will directly inform educators and training providers, helping to strengthen the local talent pipeline and ensure businesses have better access to the skills and employment support they need.

 

North Warwickshire is very much in focus this month. We report on the recent North Warwickshire Borough Council Small Business Awards and bring news of a planned employment park that could bring up to 6,000 jobs to the north of our county.
