Autonomous Vehicle Company Aurrigo launches landmark advanced manufacturing and engineering hub at Power Park
Aurrigo International plc has launched a new UK hub on the Coventry/ Warwick District border which totals more than 130,000 sq ft and is expected to be capable of producing more than 500 autonomous vehicles every year once operating at full capacity.
The listed business, which raised £14.1m to support its global expansion at the end of last year, will shortly start production of its autonomous vehicles at a facility on Power Park in Coventry, a short drive from the Coventry & Warwick Investment Zone.

Quarterly sales bounce back at JLR but full-year volumes hit by US tariffs and China market challenges
JLR has reported a quarterly increase in sales as "production returned to normal" following the cyber incident but full-year volumes have been "impacted by US tariffs, China market challenges and planned wind down of legacy Jaguar models".
Wholesales in Q4 FY26 reached 95,300, down 14.5 per cent year-on-year, but up 61.1 per cent against the third quarter.

UK government commits £28.5 million to supporting local game developers
The UK government has committed to supporting the country's video game industry with £28.5 million in funding. The financing is being distributed as part of the government's Creative Industries Sector Plan, which is designed to help "turbocharge economic growth." The move represents a doubling in funding for the sector and will allow developers across the region to apply for targeted investments through the UK Games Fund.

Detailed plans for £2.5bn GreenPower Park site rubber stamped - forecast to create 6,000 jobs
The redevelopment of Coventry Airport has taken a step forward with the granting of detailed planning permission for the £2.5bn GreenPower Park site. Warwick District Council has given the green light for seven manufacturing facilities, ranging in size from 69,000 sq ft to 1.5 million sq ft and totalling 4.8 million sq ft.
The latest planning approval augments the existing outline permission for a large battery manufacturing facility, granted in 2022, providing full detail for buildings, plot layouts and landscaping.
GreenPower Park is a public-private joint venture between Coventry City Council and Rigby Group. The partners are seeking to create a centre of excellence for battery technology, advanced manufacturing and clean energy, with the potential to create 6,000 jobs.

Losses widen at video game developer as the company aims to reposition itself for long-term growth
Pre-tax losses widened at a Leamington-based developer and publisher of video games during its latest financial year in a "challenging period" for the industry but the company said it continues to "make significant progress in repositioning itself for long-term growth".
Kwalee is behind several prominent titles such as Draw It, Shootout 3D, Jetpack Jump, Rocket Sky!, and Bake It and Line Up: Draw the Criminal. The company was founded in 2011 by David Darling, who previously co-founded and led Codemasters.

A transport, logistics and distribution company has acquired a new headquarters in the West Midlands totalling more than 150,000 sq ft in a multimillion-pound deal arranged by commercial property agency Bromwich Hardy. Slam Transport has moved its headquarters to Hazell Way in Nuneaton, a warehouse with offices extending to 154,391 sq ft, almost twice the size of its former premises at Dutton Road in Coventry.

WS Transportation secures Leamington Spa logistics hub in former ‘Megalab’
3PL WS Transportation, a subsidiary of WS Group set up by William Stobart, has secured a new logistics hub in Leamington Spa. It has taken a lease on Tritax’s recently refurbished Axiom 224 warehouse at Precision Park on Harrison Way, at a rent of circa £9 per sqft. Among other clients, it will specialise in 2-man deliveries for a contract delivering for furniture company DFS.
Until refurbished, the building served as the Leamington ‘Covid Megalab’ and before that was a distribution unit for plumbing supply company Wolseley.
